Land Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that the Dharma Centre of Canada is located on the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations. The Dharma Centre also acknowledges that the Williams Treaties First Nations are the stewards and caretakers of these lands and waters in perpetuity. We are all Treaty people. We also recognize the unique history, culture and traditions of MΓ©tis, Inuit, and other First Nation People for their wisdom, contributions and teaching.
In the spirit of reconciliation, the Dharma Centre is committed to deepening its knowledge and relationships with local Indigenous communities. We also wish to ensure that the land acknowledgment is inclusive of all the traditional and current MΓ©tis, First Nation and Indigenous communities that currently inhabit the land.
Current COVID Policy
In keeping with the recent changes in government regulations and guidelines concerning COVID 19 prevention in congregate living settings, the Dharma Centre Board of Directors has dropped the policy requiring proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test for visitors to the property. Masking is no longer required, although any individual, including staff members, who wishes to mask is encouraged to do so.

rooms
Our accommodation buildings are situated on roughly 100 of our 400 acres and consist of private cabins and larger multi-room buildings.
Our accommodations are simple and situated in a natural forest environment.
Explore Nature as a Path to Awakening
Our 400 acres of forested property invites visitors to appreciate the beauty and wildness of the natural world. There is a myriad of wildlife in the dense forest, meadows, beaver ponds, creeks and small lake that make up our Kinmount Retreat property.
Meals at the Centre
The Dharma Centre provides three nutritious meals per day when retreats are running. Our cuisine is mainly vegetarian, however we do serve meat or fish occasionally.
We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets if requested in advance.
Meals are prepared by both staff and volunteers with the understanding that the food is essential both for our good health and also awakening.
Please note our meals are served in buffet style.
